Frozen Sweet Corn Processing Procedure:

+ Step 1: Harvesting and Selection: Sweet corn is harvested at peak maturity to ensure optimal sweetness and anthocyanin content. Only high-quality ears are selected.

+ Step 2: Wash and peel: Corn is washed many times with clean water to remove dirt, bacteria and impurities. Then the husk and corn silk are peeled off.

+ Step 3: Blanching: The corns are briefly blanched in hot water (85–95°C) to deactivate enzymes, eliminate surface bacteria, and lock in natural color.

+ Step 4: Quick Cooling: After blanching, the corn is immediately cooled using cold water or ice to stop cooking and preserve texture.

+ Step 5: Individual Quick Freezing (IQF): The kernels are flash frozen at -35°C to -40°C, allowing each piece to freeze separately. This method preserves shape, color, and nutrients.

+ Step 6: Packaging: Frozen corns are sorted, inspected, and vacuum-packed using PA/PE bags or customized packaging. The process takes place in a temperature-controlled environment.
